Colleen Pearce, the Public Advocate, said: "These Awards recognise Victoria Police employees, police stations or work units that have provided outstanding service to people with disability, and nominations are welcomed from members of the community."
These awards are an excellent opportunity to recognise a Victoria Police employee, police station or work unit that has made an outstanding contribution in 2017 to:
- improving the outcomes for people with disabilities
- delivery of a police service that is accessible, inclusive and responsive.
Awards will be presented at the Victoria Police International Day of People with Disability celebration which will be held in early December 2017.
