L’Office of the Public Advocate (OPA) è un ente statutario indipendente che protegge e promuove i diritti e gli interessi delle persone disabili in Victoria.

Il personale e gli oltre 900 volontari dell’OPA, sotto la guida del Public Advocate, lavorano per eliminare abusi, negligenze e sfruttamento delle persone disabili o affette da problemi di salute mentale.

L’OPA assiste le persone disabili o affette da problemi di salute mentale, le loro famiglie, coloro che si prendono cura di loro e danno loro sostegno fornendo consigli, formazione, informazioni, ricerche, custodia legale e patrocinio.
