This webinar is part of a project of the Office of the Public Advocate called 'Healthy discussions: Supporting people with disability to make and communicate health decisions'.
The Healthy Discussions project highlights that in Victoria everyone with the capacity to do so has the right to make their own decisions about their health and, to the extent possible, people should be provided with the support they need to make these decisions. The voice of people with lived experience of disability is a feature of the project, and it aims to support health professionals to improve their communication with, and understanding of, people with disability who have specific communication needs.
The project is funded by a Department of Social Services ILC Mainstream Capacity Building grant.
