Guardianship & administration brochure
Guardianship and administration are a last resort, if there is no less restrictive alternative to safeguard the interests of an adult with disability.
This brochure outlines when guardianship or administration may be needed, the role and responsibilities of guardians and administrators and the role of the Public Advocate and Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT).
It has been updated to incorporate changes in the law with the commencement of the Medical Treatment Planning and Decisions Act 2016.
Print on A3 paper, flipping on the short edge.
You can order free copies of this brochure from the Victoria Legal Aid website.
