Victorian Auditor General’s Office auditing OPA

The Victorian Auditor General’s Office (VAGO) is conducting an audit to determine whether the Office of the Public Advocate provides effective and efficient services that support the rights of Victorian adults with disability.

The Auditor-General is an independent officer of the Victorian Parliament, to provide assurance to Parliament and the Victorian community about how effectively public sector agencies are providing services and using public money. Further information regarding VAGO's role can be found on their website.

OPA is committed to working with VAGO and providing them with any and all information they need to conduct this audit.

VAGO will table a public report in Parliament in mid-2024 that will include key findings and recommendations for the Office of the Public Advocate.

OPA will share this report when it becomes available.
