Your SDA tenancy rights

Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) is housing for people with disability who need extra support most of the time

If you live in SDA, or a home where daily independent living support is provided, you have greater residential rights in Victoria.

The Residential Tenancies Act 1997 (the Act) changed on 1 July 2024. The changes better protect the rights of people with disability living in SDA or a home where daily independent living support is provided.

Rights are rules about how people must treat you fairly and equally.

There are different ways to end the agreement.
