- Powers of Attorney Act 2014
- Mental Health Act 2014
- Charter of Human Rights and Responsibilities Act 2006.

The Public Advocate also has a role under the Residential Tenancies Act 1997, and the Severe Substance Dependence Treatment Act 2010.
